To create an online boiler company and generate most of it’s revenue from organic search as the paid landscape was, and still is, taken up by huge billion £ companies like British Gas, Eon, SSE, Moneysupermarket and more. Use some organic revenue to fund Google paid search once it can afford to.

The Solution

I purchased boilercentral.com as an expired domain with 24 years of indexation, meaning it was a dropped domain with a long history of boiler and heating content on Google. This would help propel early efforts with the website.

I then spearheaded the website build with a local web agency, costing £8,000 plus VAT which included a full bespoke boiler purchasing journey.

I then prepared a full content plan and how I was going to build PR and links to the website, which was going to be essential to getting this website outranking massive companies like British Gas.

Once this was created, I pushed forward month after month with the strategy, sometimes giving it 16-hour days to get this ranking quicker. After all, SEO is very much time = reward. If you put time + experience, the rewards can be significantly higher. For example, if I had done this again, I would have been much more successful the 2nd time.
