Some of the brands we have worked with
Who this is for
Building and construction firms we work with
Local builders
You take on homeowners' jobs in a few towns. On "builders near me" the map pack sat above every organic result, so your Google Business Profile, with photos of finished work, comes before any new pages.
Extension and renovation specialists
"Extension builders near me" alone is searched about 800 times a month (Ahrefs UK data). Each type of build you offer gets a page of finished examples, so a client can see you have built one before.
Commercial contractors
Google shows a map pack for "commercial construction companies" although the search names no place. Our Generative Engine Optimisation work defines your services clearly, so AI assistants have what they need to match you to a client's brief.
Builders listed on directories
Google lists "Which is better, Checkatrade or MyBuilder?" among the questions on "builders near me". Your Google Business Profile and own pages have to reassure clients directly: reviews, insurance details and finished work.
What we do
How clients look for a builder or construction company
"Builders near me" is the biggest client search we measured, about 6,800 a month in Ahrefs UK data for September 2026, roughly four in five made on a phone. "Construction companies near me" and "commercial builders" are searched mostly at a desk. All sixteen searches we checked that ask for a firm showed a map pack; searches naming the build, such as "kitchen extension", brought an AI Overview instead. A homeowner asking ChatGPT to recommend a builder increasingly gets a named shortlist; firms left off it are not in the running.
What SEO services for construction companies include
Google Business Profile for builders
Photos of finished extensions, renovations and commercial jobs added to the listing, service areas set to the towns you build in, and categories naming the work you want, all part of our Local SEO.
A page per type of build
Extensions, renovations and commercial builds each have a page of their own, aimed at searches such as "house extension builders" or "commercial builders". Area pages follow only where you take on work.
Write-ups filed under each build
Your extensions page links to extensions you have finished and your commercial page to commercial jobs, each written up with photographs, so clients can study work like theirs.
Insurance and certification answers
Homeowners search what insurance a builder should have and how to check it. Through Answer Engine Optimisation we write a page on the cover and certifications you hold, one question per heading.
Reviews and property press
A build is a high-value decision, and reviews reassure the client making it. Your team asks for one at each handover; we set up the routine and reply to every review. Our Digital PR uses home improvement and property media contacts.
Site health on phones
The pages phone searchers reach are made quick and easy to use, and we check indexing, broken links, URL structure and schema markup and fix what we find.
Single trades are better served by SEO for Roofers or SEO for Plumbers, handymen by SEO for Tradesmen, installation firms by SEO for Home Improvement Service Businesses, and designers by SEO for Architects.
Where a building firm can realistically compete
When Ahrefs checked "builders near me" on 24 September 2026, all three map pack places went to building firms. Six of the eight organic results were listings, among them MyBuilder, Checkatrade and the Federation of Master Builders' finder; the one builder, in fifth place, had an advice article on finding a good builder, on a site Ahrefs scores 0 out of 100 for links. So a building firm's openings there are the map pack and pages useful enough to sit among the directories. Home improvement, where Checkatrade and national comparison sites hold the top results, is one of our specialist sectors. Nobody can promise a position; we guarantee a senior SEO does your work and you see each month what was done.

Frequently Asked Questions
Start with search, then add what supports it. Your Google Business Profile and build pages reach clients already looking; Google Ads can bring enquiries while those pages grow; property press coverage builds authority. Bought leads stop when the spending stops.
Searches that name the builds you want, before broad company terms. In Ahrefs UK data for September 2026, "extension builders" and "commercial builders" both score 0 out of 100 for difficulty, while "building companies" and "building contractors" score 45.
Be visible where clients already look. People planning an extension or a commercial build tend to search with a town or "near me" in mind, so a complete Google Business Profile, a page per build and fresh reviews come first.
Partly, yes. Keeping your Google Business Profile complete, adding photos as each build finishes and asking for reviews at handover suit your own team. Technical fixes, pages across builds and towns, and AI visibility take more specialist time; we can run all of it or work alongside you.
Yes. Clients still find builders on Google's map pack and results, and AI assistants use the same signals: build pages, press coverage, consistent business details. The models favour headings that match the question, so a page on the cover and certifications you hold belongs under the homeowner's own question.
No single figure covers it. The scope depends on how many builds and towns you want pages for, your site's condition and whether directories or rival firms hold your local searches. Nothing is agreed until we have looked at your site and explained the work.
